The Final Countdown….

I purchased advance tickets today …and in less than 50 hours I will be setting in a theater watching the 1st screening of Sex and the City 2. For the past month I’ve really began to obsess over what to wear to the movie. I must look Fabulous. My nameplate necklace is in the top of my jewelry case just waiting to be put on. My fragrance choice for the night will either be SJP: N.Y.C or the Sex and the City Perfume: Love. It’s my favorite from the collection of six. (Love, Lust, Kiss, Sexy, Passion and Desire)

I love the new addition to the Patricia Field website.

I’m apologizing in advance for the next few posting pertaining to Sex and the City...and Sex and the City only.
Check Back later this week to check out my outfit selection and pictures from the movie night! xoxo

Breakfast At Tiffany’s Moment

What is it about that certain shade of blue that makes me instantly feel like Holly Golightly? I’ve been lusting over Chanel’s Nouvelle Vague (turquoise aka the "it" color of the season) Polish since it 1st appeared a few months ago in magazines and blogs across the world. While I haven’t been able to get my hands on a bottle just yet (set to be released June 6th).

This delightful baby blue color, inspired by the iconic Tiffany blue, from China Glaze eases the craving. The Shade: For Audrey

Home Sweet Home

I dream of Chanel
I’m constantly looking ideas how to decorate my current townhouse or ideas to save for my future (hopefully much larger) home. A few months back I seen an article in Marie Claire featuring Chanel Accessories Designer Laetitia Crahay. Pictures from her home were fabulous. I’ve been dreaming of a Chanel filled home ever since.

Bright Lights. Big City. Fabulous Home Décor.
During season on of the MTV Reality Series THE CITY we seen several clips of Olivia Palermo’s Apartment. This is defiantly my inspiration for my future bedroom.

It’s a Rainy Monday...

Inspired by a Cigarette
I don’t smoke, nor do I have the desire to ever start. Besides I’m severely allergic to tobacco… I’m sure picking up that habit would work out really well (insert sarcasm here). However the Camels ad in the latest issue of Nylon Magazine is quite inspirational. Lately I’ve been worrying about the little things that shouldn’t matter and pondering over things in which I have no control. This ad is a reminder that life is too short… I need to get over it, live my life and just be Happy.

This ad was also reminded me of my favorite James Dean quote, ”Dream as if you will live forever, Live as if you’ll die today.”

I Feel Like a Kid Again

Young at Heart
Why is it that when I was younger I ran and hide from my mother when she insisted that I braid my hair? Braids are Fabulous! Someone get me my blackberry, I need to call and make an appointment for hair extensions.

Waffles Girls
A few years ago my roommate introduced me to Waffles & Falafels. A t-shirt company that was created for extraordinary girls doing extra ordinary things. And I love it. It seems that they promote creativity and the right to be unique. Their social networking sites are full of fun pictures and random discussions, which are quite entertaining.

Cupcakes for a Cause
In February, while shopping in the whimsical & historical downtown of Franklin, Tennessee I made a sweet discovery. Naticakes. The cupcakes are amazing and I was instantly addicted. While there I had the pleasure of meeting Nicole Sloane, founder of Naticakes. After she shared the inspirational story behind Naticakes and the passing away of her niece Natalie Wynn Cater, I felt as if I had known her forever. Ten percent of the profits from Naticakes is given to support the ongoing efforts of the Natalie Wynn Carter Foundation that is committed to improving the lives of children throughout the world. These efforts will serve as an avenue for Nati to continually touch children’s lives. For more about Naticakes visit their website:

What I Love Right Now

Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” –Coco Chanel

I can’t seem to find the words to express my obsession with street style. I am constantly on the members only lookbook.nu and chictopia.com looking for inspiration. Here’s a list of my morning Must-Reads:

To ink or to not ink?
That is the question that I’ve been asking myself since the 1st episode of L.A Aired. I am a huge fan of Kat Von D. But I’m not sure permanent ink is for me. Until recently tattoos have gotten a bad rep… Leave it to Chanel to make them seem oh so glamorous. Their recently launched line of temporary tattoos featuring artful images of CHANEL symbols and icons, including Oriental cherry blossoms and birds is perfect solution to ink or not to ink dilemma. While $75 may seem a bit pricy 55 temporary tattoos… it’s still cheaper and much less painful then the tattoo removal process of a real one.

Warhol Party of 4
Recently I found these great appetizer plates that scream throw a party. I’m thinking I’m going to have a “Girls Night” in honor of Andy Warhol himself and watch Factory Girl.

Cowgirls & Indians

You can take the girl out of the country. But you can’t take the country out of the girl…

The May issue one of my favorite fashion magazines ELLE, features a farm themed photo spread full of boots, denim and an adorable white rooster.

(Photos from Elle.Com)

Since then I can’t seem to buy enough cowboy boots, jean shorts, denim shirts and moccasins. I’ve been looking at D&G’s Spring 2010 Collection for inspiration. Here’s a few of my favorite looks…

Believe in Yourself. If You Don’t… Who Will?

A few months ago I purchased a Nylon Magazine that came with a free t-shirt. Across the chest of the shirt has a logo that said “Be Stupid”. I had no idea what this t-shirt symbolized until I flipped through the magazine to discover several of Diesel’s latest campaign ads; a campaign that encourages consumers to take risks and move beyond the smart and sensible track for life. Below I have attached several of the ads as well as the Diesel Stupid Philosophy. “Be Stupid” is the perfect prescription for anyone that is beginning to doubt themselves and or those whom just need to be re-inspired.

Diesel Stupid Philosophy
Like balloons, we are filled with hopes and dreams. But… Over time a single sentence creeps into our lives. Don’t be stupid. It’s the crusher of possibility. It’s the world’s greatest deflator. The world is full of smart people. Doing all kind of smart things… That’s smart.
Well, we’re with stupid. Stupid is the relentless pursuit of a regret free life. Smart may have the brains…
but stupid has the balls. The smart might recognize things for how they are. The stupid see things for how they could be. Smart Critiques. Stupid creates. The fact is if we didn’t have stupid thoughts wed have no interesting thoughts at all. Smart may have the plans… but stupid has the stories.
Smart may have the authority but stupid has one hell of a hangover. Its not smart to take risks… It’s stupid.
To be stupid is to be brave. The stupid isn’t afraid to fail. The stupid know there are worse things than failure… like not even trying.
Smart had one good idea, and that idea was stupid. You can’t outsmart stupid. So don’t even try. Remember only stupid can be truly brilliant.
So, BE STUPID
