The Queen B

(via Queen B)
Today I received a lovely gift from my friend Beth at Queen B. She’s a very talented artist whom recently launched her own accessories line. The clutches are all created by hand: hand painted, lined with a  vintage scarf and always adorned with something unique. Two pieces are never the same!  She’s always been a big supporter of my blog/career and I feel honored to be able to support her on this journey! Checkout out the Queen B website HERE and be sure to like Queen B on Facebook to stay up-to-date on the latest pieces as they come available they are sure to sell out fast. Thanks again for the Fabulous Clutch Beth!!!! I can't wait to use it in an outfit post on my new blog!!!

The Story Behind the Clutch I received:
Yellow #8 is all about the language of art. Music, like the visual arts, uses a dialogue to express what is happening within the image or melody if you will . . . both worlds talk the same talk with words like rhythm, balance, unity . . . whether something is warm or cool, has layers or is linear. Yellow is known to produce a warming effect, arouse cheerfulness, and stimulate mental activity. Purple is its compliment and combines the stability of blue and energy of red. It's also often associated with royalty, power, luxury and ambition. This Queen B original was created while listening to the entire album "Offering" by Jazz artist HermanBurney, Jr. The artist likes to think of it as art meets music with a splash of fashion. The hardware for this clutch was formerly a part of a series of brass looking discs on a 1980's belt and is lined with a vintage "honey" brand silk scarf.

Check out the music and get more info about Herman Burney Jr. the musician that inspired Beth to create this clutch HERE!!!!

Lust Worthy: Alexander Wang Resort Collection 2013

(via vogue)

There isn't a single thing I didn't love about Alexander Wang's 2013 Resort Collection!!! With each collection he releases I become more and more obsessed with his designs. Eventually I'm sure the lust will lead to temptation in which the results will be very dangerous for my bank account.

Cheap yet Chic Find: Metal-Plated Sandals

Unexpected Delivery from ROMWE

Yesterday I arrived home and actually remembered to check my mail box! To my surprise I had a package waiting for me from ROMWE. I'm super excited about the free sunnies they sent me as a gift!!! They will be used for an outfit post very soon! Thanks ROMWE!!!!!

For the record I'm really bad about checking my mail (except when I'm expecting a package). Sometimes I go at least a week without checking... in the past I've gone even longer. The post lady HATES me! She's actually left me nasty little notes telling me to check my box more often! Haha. B

Monday Musings

(via my tumblr)

I've always been one that prefers to look at photos rather than read even the shortest paragraph. My favorites aren't the full page editorials (while I do appreciate them)... my favorites are the photos that capture just a hint of detail.

Home Inspiration: Re-Post

(via an old inspo folder saved on my computer)
It's amazing what you can find in old inspo folders saved on your computer. Here are some forgotten favorites that I found this morning. I think these were originally posted on my blog almost two years ago! However, I'm still in love with a neutral... almost all white palette of each room.

Trend to Try: Gladiator Sandals

For several years now I’ve been wearing gladiator sandals during the spring/summer and even early fall. I’ve really never been a huge fan of rubber flip flops unless I’m running to the mail box, gym or pool. Gladiators are so versatile (and a much more stylish option)… they can be worn with really anything: shorts, dresses, skirts, pants and leggings. Depending on the look you are going for you can choose to wear a basic neutral, a bright hue or an embellished pair.  Gladiators come in three different heights: ankle, mid-calf and knee-high. My personal favorites are ankle and knee-high.
When choosing your gladiators take your leg length and build into consideration. Ankle height gladiators look great on everyone.. while mid-calf could cause your leg to look thicker than it really is. Knee-high gladiators could cause your legs to appear shorter than they really are.
(all photos via google/remixed by me)
If you haven't already... give in to that inner fashion warrior and give gladiators a try. For a cheap yet chic version order a pair HERE.

My Next Purchase: Sweater Shorts

(photo via this site)
Time and time again I have expressed my love for sweater shorts... I have a few pairs packed away in storage awaiting the perfect day/post pregnancy body. However, I only own neutral shades.... so I most def think I need to order these shorts that I saw recently in a fashion editorial featured in the 2012 July edition of Elle Russia.

Loving all the pieces from the Rag and Bone Resort 2013 collection. Everything seems perfectly wearable right off the runway. It was full of everything I LOVE: blazers, leather and ankle boots...
